The integration of renewable energies into the grid faces important challenges related to energy quality, which is why the Grid Codes were created. In Spain, RD 647/2020 regulates the minimum technical requirements that must be met by generation facilities connected to the electricity grid.
The new Technical Supervision Standard (NTS for its acronym in Spanish) allows the evaluation of the conformity of the generation modules and establishes the requirements for obtaining the Final Operational Notification (FON) and the Power Generation Module Certificate (MGE Certificate, for its acronym in Spanish).
